Staffs Moorlands Basketball Competition

This commitment to excellence and personal growth was exemplified in the recent Staffs Moorlands 3v3 Basketball Competition, where our pupils from Westwood College showcased their skills and sportsmanship.

Westwood College's Competitive Spirit

The Westwood College joint Year 9 and 10 team travelled to Fenton Manor to compete in the annual tournament. The A and B sides faced off against 2 strong teams from Moorside, resulting in a closely contested match-up for third place. The game was a true display of the competitive spirit that embodies the school's values of aspiration and excellence.

A Nail-biting Finale

As the final seconds ticked away, the game was tied at 6-6, setting the stage for an exciting shootout finale. With the clock winding down and the pressure mounting, the Westwood College A team emerged victorious.

Throughout the competition, the students supported one another, celebrated their teammates' successes, and displayed exemplary sportsmanship, even when the outcome was uncertain.
