Owl Class Enjoys Starry Space Night
Recently, the pupils in Owl Class at Rushton CE First School had the opportunity to explore the wonders of the night sky during a special Space Night event. As the clouds cleared and the stars came out, the children and their parents gathered to embark on an exciting stargazing adventure.
Reaching for the Stars
Guided by their teacher, Miss Hughes, the children eagerly scanned the sky, searching for planets, constellations, and even satellites. They were thrilled to spot twinkling stars and identify familiar celestial bodies, fueling their natural curiosity and sense of wonder.
In keeping with the school's strong Christian ethos, the event also included a cosy gathering around a glowing fire, where Miss Hughes read the captivating story of "The Smeds and the Smoos" to the enthralled audience. This provided a moment of calm reflection, nurturing the children's spiritual growth and reinforcing our commitment to compassion and community.
The evening was a resounding success, with parents and pupils alike enjoying the opportunity to come together, share in the wonder of the night sky, and create lasting memories.
