Rushton First School welcome the Hedgehogs

Hedgehog class had a very special visitor this week. Carolyn from the RSPCA came in to talk to the children about an animal very close to their hearts...hedgehogs! They learnt about how the RSPCA rescue and rehabilitate wild hedgehogs. She also told the children some interesting facts such as ‘baby hedgehogs are called hoglets’ and ‘a group of hedgehogs are called a prickle!’ This led to lots of role play playing vets and making some clay hedgehogs - the children had such a wonderful time!
